As of January 5, 2023, all air travelers 2 years of age and older, arriving from the People’s Republic of China, Hong Kong or Macao must show a negative COVID-19 test result, taken no more than 2 days before their departure to the airline in order to board their flight. These planned health measures will apply to air travelers, regardless of nationality and vaccination status. Accepted tests include a negative molecular (such as a PCR test), or a negative antigen test that has documentation to show that it has been monitored by a telehealth service or an accredited laboratory or testing provider. Via pre-arrival communications, we are asking guests to self-identify if they belong to a risk group for COVID-19; if yes, we ask that they postpone their travels until the risk period has passed, in order to help us ensure the wellbeing of all our guests and employees.
We have increased our staffing of public area attendants to support increased frequency of cleaning surfaces with recommended cleaning agents, with particular focus on high touch, high traffic areas.
Our highly respected housekeeping team at Fairmont Banff Springs will go beyond the standards of room and suite preparation, deep cleaning surfaces with use of EPA-registered disinfectant chemicals proven effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 by scientific experts to kill bacteria and viruses.

Our colleagues will each receive COVID-19 related training and retooling with guidance and reminders to: Stay home if not well, wash hands repeatedly and thoroughly and follow all safety protocols for their particular responsibilities and guest interactions. It’s important to us that both our guests and our colleagues are safe and well.
We’ve taken contactless contact to a whole new level with our pre-arrival e-mails and ‘Kipsu’ text message guest communications with our Royal Service Team. Our Weekly Resort Guide will be sent to you electronically upon request with updated restaurant hours, services available and information about the available resort activities.
