Fairmont Banff Springs Unveils ‘Christmas at the Castle’

Banff, Alberta, 14 November 2024 This festive season, Canada’s “Castle in the Rockies,” invites guests to experience the magic of the holidays with a series of unforgettable events and activities from November 17, 2024, to January 5, 2025. From an awe-inspiring Tree Lighting Ceremony to iconic décor collaborations and a whimsical “Journey to the North Pole”, Fairmont Banff Springs is the perfect destination to create lasting holiday memories. 

  

Iconic Festive Décor by Cory Christopher and “Queer Eye’s” Bobby Berk  

Stepping into Fairmont Banff Springs during the holiday season is like entering a winter wonderland. Renowned Albertan designer, Cory Christopher, King of Christmas, is working his magic once again to turn the resort into a breathtaking festive escape. Christopher’s elaborate décor, drawing inspiration from historic train journeys to the destination, complements the heritage and legacy of Fairmont Banff Springs, adding a distinct touch of elegance to this year’s celebrations.  

This year, Bobby Berk is partnering with Fairmont Banff Springs to add a grand sprinkling of holiday magic to the resort’s esteemed Crown Suite. Acclaimed and Emmy award-winning design expert, TV host and author, Bobby Berk has an iconic style that blends modern, urban luxury with a youthful flair. This signature holiday suite launches on the 22nd of November, with festive decor remaining until early January. Bookings can be made here. 

 

Tree Lighting Ceremony with Special Guest, Bobby Berk 

On November 23, from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, lavish holiday decor throughout the castle will be unveiled with an evening of festive celebration. Highlights include live music, decadent treats and beverages, and special guest, Bobby Berk, flicking the switch to light up our magnificent floor-to-ceiling Christmas tree in Mt Stephen Hall. This cherished tradition marks the official start of the holiday season at Fairmont Banff Springs.  

This exclusive event is by reservation only, with all proceeds benefiting Make-A-Wish Foundation. Complimentary self-parking is available for non-hotel guests. 

 

“Journey to the North Pole” Guided Tours 

From December 15th-17th, immersive festive tours will be offered. With Santa Claus as a guide, visitors of all ages can embark on a tour of the elaborately decorated “Castle in the Rockies,” discovering hidden corners and guest-only areas of Fairmont Banff Springs. The journey concludes with house-made treats and an opportunity to take personal photos with Santa and the stunning floor-to-ceiling Christmas Tree in Mt Stephen Hall.
